NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) means that the line does not have its own vessels. The EMKAY line buys slots from shipowners or ship operators and places its own containers on these vessels.
Such transportation scheme makes the Line's service more flexible. Using the schedules of various vessel operators, EMKAY Line minimizes the total transit time for Customers, as it can employ the service of ship operators with the closest ship sailings from ports of loading and/or transshipment.
In the countries of the Eurasian Community, EMKAY has the opportunity to release/accept empty containers in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novorossiysk, Minsk.
Russian clients of EMKAY Line can pay freights to the Russian Agent of Emkay in rubles at the Central Bank exchange rate on the payment date, without additional conversion fees.
